For most of my life, my body was trying to tell me something—and no one was listening. Including me.
It started when I was two years old: an asthma diagnosis, a home coming apart, and a little nervous system already stuck on high alert. By my teens came the heavy, painful cycles and chronic infections everyone waved off as "just part of being a woman." By my twenties, the bone-deep fatigue set in. I'm a nurse, so I got tested for everything. The labs came back "normal." The exhaustion did not.
Then my heart started skipping—literally. PACs, a blood clot scare, and eventually atrial fibrillation, all while I kept finishing my shifts and putting everyone else first. A high-risk pregnancy pushed my body to its limit and gave me my daughter, along with the hardest decision of my life. And through it all, I kept doing what depleted women are taught to do: try harder, eat cleaner, add more. Whole30 on repeat. Surgeries. Night shift and school and side hustles and grief, all at once.
By 2021, I had every symptom imaginable—migraines, chest pain, brain fog, tingling, dizziness—and not one doctor could tell me why. One told me I was "just anxious." I never went back. When a nurse practitioner finally tested me for mold toxicity and it came back positive, I thought I'd found my answer. Instead I found a new kind of exhaustion: knowing something was wrong, having a name for it, and still not knowing how to heal.
So I did everything holistic I could find. Red light. Saunas. Supplements. The gym six days a week. And I was still sick—because I was treating the pieces, never the whole woman.
Everything changed in the summer of 2025. One functional medicine consult, and for the first time in over forty years, I didn't just feel heard. I felt understood. I got real answers, followed the process, and within months my energy came back, the fog lifted, the weight released, and I slept again. My asthma is fully controlled and I'm off the medication I'd taken for decades. Healing stopped being a to-do list and became a way of living.
That's why I do this work now. Twenty-one years as a nurse taught me that healing can be gentle, natural, and whole—when we finally address the whole person. So if any part of my story feels like yours, please hear this:
You don't need more rules. You need to be believed—then gently walked home to the real you.
That's exactly what I'm here to help you do. 🕊️
